ActiveUpdate doesn't do anything
Just installed ActiveUpdate 2.0. I registered ok and picked a number of subjects to get info and file alerts on, but nothing happens. I can go back in & verify that the items I selected are still selected, I've changed the options from Polite to HTTP and back. I've selected Update from the AU options menu and from the BackWeb agent in the system tray. Nothing has worked. What am I missing?

Re: ActiveUpdate doesn't do anything
Got this from Compaq after I raised a call, I'm having somewhat similar problems too. Maybe of use to you?
Hello,
Is the following site down/offline: http://web11.compaq.com/activeupdate
When I click on subscribe, I see a list like this:
Desktops
Handhelds
Management....etc
etc
I can expand these to get to different models of servers or version control, but when I click on a link beneath, it looks like files are being downloaded, but I do not see them on the righthand side of the screen.
And the reply:
Thank you for your inquiry. At this time the ActiveUpdate system is not working. Our ActiveUpdate server team has verified that there is a problem with the login server that makes the server unable to determine your login permissions after your login is accepted by ActiveUp
date, so no information or content is being sent to your ActiveUpdate client. Our server team is working diligently to resolve the login problem and hopes to have the ActiveUpdate system working correctly in the near future.
Regards,
Robert
