Adding Devices in IM7

I'm having some problems manaully adding devices to Compaq Insight Manager 7. I enter all of the relevant details and click on Add Device. It returns no error but the device is not entered into the database.

Any ideas?

If you add the device a second time does it give you an error that it's already there? If so run the daily device identification task. If not add just the device name and try to have IM resolve the IP address for you. Also make sure your device is registered in DNS properly.

No error given the 2nd time. I've just confirmed NTFS permissions are okay and while doing this noticed that the MDF file is 1024MB in size exactly. Does this database have a 1GB limit?

I suggest opening this as a support case (...and no there is not a 1GB limit)...
