I have a dozen or so netware servers that I want to monitor with Insight Manager. I have IM 7sp2 installed on a W2003 server box. Some servers are Netware 5 running older agents. Others are Netware 6.5 running the latest agents. All show up in the console. I'm having several problems though:
1) I can log in on port 2301 to the Netware 6.5 servers, but most will not display all the graphics on the web page (hangs while loading /webagent/images/agntlogo.gif) and when I click on the link for webagent/index.tpl (no icon, only blank space) the page doesn't load
2) I tried to fix it by re-installing the foundation agent, etc, but the server abended when I loaded cp004160.nlm.
Any suggestions for a trouble shooting strategy? For instance, How can I remove all traces of the old agents so I can do a clean re-install.
So far, I've only had one server abend, but I'm hesitant to try re-installing on other production servers before resolving the issue on the one that is physically located where I am.
Thanks in advance.
Steve

Solution
You cannot uninstall the agents per see, though you can unload the agents listed in CPQSNMP.NCF, remove the CPQSNMP.NCF reference from your AUTOEXEC.BAT, then delete the CPQMGMT and WBEM directories, which may appear under SYS:SYSTEM.
If and when you decide to try again, run the Proliant Support Pack. This way, prerequisites such as CPQHLTH.NLM will be installed as well and their versions corresponding to the agent versions.

Re: Agent install abends Netware 6.5 server
Thanks for the information. I had another server that had similar behavior in that the processor utilization spiked and the console prompt locked up when I tried unloading cpqwebag.nlm, making it necessary to kill the power to restart the server. I fixed it this morning by 1) run server -na for a clean server boot. 2) run cp004160.nlm, cp004161.nlm, and cp004162.nlm to install the latest versions of the agents, each time specifying no agent load. 3) run cpqagin to load all agents. I now suspect that the abend I was experienceing upon trying to run cp004160.nlm happened when it tried to unload cpqwebag. I'm hoping that the -na boot will solve that problem by never loading cpqwebag in the first place.
The proliant support pack has been installed. One of these days I'll stay after business hours to work on the the main server. The server I fixed this morning is at a satelite location that isn't terribly busy and can be rebooted during the day.
Again, thanks for the helpful comments.
