Agents on SUSE Linux 8.2 possible?

Is there a way to install the Compaq Management Agents on SUSE Linux Version 8.2?
There is no support pack available for this version, I tried to install the versions for United Linux and for SUSE Enterprise Server 7, that didn't work.
Any other way to monitor hardware status under SUSE Linux 8.2?

the agent??s need kerneldrivers, compiled for one special kernel

i installed k_deflt from Unitedlinux (2.4.19) and the agents for UnitedLinux on SuSE 8.2

you may need to install the rpm??s by hand

#rpm -Uvh hpasm-6.30.0-12.Unitedlinux1_0.i386.rpm
(this will reduce noise)
#rpm -Uvh cmastor-6.30.0-9.i386.rpm

web-based management runs fine

ps: SuSe7.3 with kernel and Agents from 7.2 works too
