Any way to Create/Send a Test Trap?

I wanted to test to make sure the SNMP trap is configured properly. Is there a way to send a test trap? Command Line?

In Windows, the management agents Control Panel applet has a "Send Test Trap" button on the SNMP setting tab. You also could simulate a failure by pulling a drive in a RAID array.

Thanks, I was just did a search and I found the info and was just about to post a Never Mind message.

Should Enable-Asynchronous Management Traps and Enable the Application exception Traps be enabled?

Actually, I'm getting this message on some servers:

'The Compaq Management Agents Remote Alerter Agent has not finished initializing or is not enabled.'.

I've bounced the agents a couple of times but it still fasils the test trap. Any ideas?

did you check that the remote alerter was in the active agent list in the cpq mgt agent window ?
