Auto Discovery finding unwanted IPs

I am executing an Automatic Discovery and I put in an Ip range. For example 111.111.111.111-111.111.111.222. I also say under the Settings, Server option, Event filerering to only accept registered events within this range. But when I actually run the Auto discovery it finds Ip devices and events outside of this range. I do not care about these devices and do not want it to clutter up my database. Any ideas on why Insight Manager XE is finding these IPs?

Re: Auto Discovery finding unwanted IPs

If you want everything nice and neat you can add them manually. I find it a little longer to do, but it is neat and only those devices that I want to be in the database are there.

Re: Auto Discovery finding unwanted IPs

XE can find device automatically thanks to HTTP auto-discovery. Disable this feature and XE won't find devices outside of the range.

However, the fact that you've already found those devices means that they will always tell XE about themselves (even if you delete them.)
