best way to initally install management agents remotely
(Apologies if this has been answered before, but I could not find the answer with a search)
I would like to roll out the latest Insight Agents to a large number of servers that do not presently have any agents installed. Is the most direct way to do this through the PSP setup utility, or can some modification of swupdate.bat accomplish this task?
Again, the situation here is NO agents currently on the target systems, so I don't see how IM7 can roll them out (no VCA, etc.)
Any suggestions welcome.

Re: best way to initally install management agents remotely
See the document "Deploying CSPs with Application Launch" on the IM7 documentation page at http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/cim7-documentation.html
It uses domain OS security to distribute the initial PSP. hpSIM has a new built-in task to do this as well.

Re: best way to initally install management agents remotely
thanks - i have looked at that whitepaper. With this method all you need on the target machines is for SNMP to be configured (and domain security)?
