Solution
Yes, it should be possible. I'm assuming you have renamed the SQL server or moved the database to another server. On the CIM7 server:
1) stop the CIM7 service
2) change the ODBC32 entry for INSIGHT_DB_V3 (or if you are on service pack 1, INSIGHT_DB_V31) to point to the new server
3) find the file database.props which should be in c:\Program Files\Compaq\Compaq Insight Manager 7\config and copy it to database.sav. Then edit the original and change the entry for the SQL server to point to the new one(Compaq.Database.Server=)
4) Restart the CIM7 service
1) stop the CIM7 service
2) change the ODBC32 entry for INSIGHT_DB_V3 (or if you are on service pack 1, INSIGHT_DB_V31) to point to the new server
3) find the file database.props which should be in c:\Program Files\Compaq\Compaq Insight Manager 7\config and copy it to database.sav. Then edit the original and change the entry for the SQL server to point to the new one(Compaq.Database.Server=)
4) Restart the CIM7 service
