CIAGNT32.EXE eventually uses 100% CPU
Hello,
I recently upgraded to Insight Manager 5.00 on our NT server running 4.0 on a Compaq Proliant 1600. I was hoping it would solve an intermittent problem I was having and instead it has made it much worse.
After the computer has been on for some period of time (amount seems to vary) it eventually becomes unuseable because it is so slow. Brining up Task Manager shows the CPU is pegged at 100% and CIAGNT32.EXE is using almost all of it. The memory usage of the program is also listed at something absurd like 16 Meg or so. I then have to reboot the machine which is not good really a good thing given the computer is our systemwide server. This was also occurring before the upgrade when using 3.11.
Is there anything I can do to get this to stop (short of uninstalling the entire Insight Manger bundle)? I don't really want to do this since the program is really handy, but I cannot live with rebooting the server every few weeks because of this CIAGNT problem. What could be causing CIAGNT to go wacko like this?
