cma test alert
I would like to know if there is a utility/command I can use to test the trapsinks and system without pulling a drive, increasing the load on the machine, etc. We just need to know if the proper notifications work. We are using SLES 7. The CIM client works fine with the server. The agents seem to be reporting fine to /var/spool/compaq/cma.log and I have the ucd-snmpd daemon set to log in debugging mode (which seems to work fine). Will I need to setup my own test objects and varibles to monitor to do that? Or can I say send a ghost CPU usage alert or something similar? Are there default thresholds set on install or do I need to go through and configure all of the settings I want to monitor?
Thanks in advanced.
