Compaq Subsystem Status information "using SNMP"
It used to work but not anymore.
server 1 is the device with The web agent turned off and server 2 is the monitoring station. with Cim 7 sp1.
when trying to get to the device status using SNMP we get this error.
ofcource with The web agents turned off. "we just need the to know what failed on that server. "we also do get the overall status but thats it."
Unable to authenticate with the local Compaq Web Agents running on the Compaq Insight Manager 7 server. Please ensure that 'Anonymous Access' is enabled for the Compaq Web Agents, then restart all the Compaq web-enabled agents on that server (or reboot the server). To enable anonymous access perform the following steps:
Click on the following link to the Compaq Insight Manager 7 server?s Device Home Page,
Log in as administrator.
Select the 'Options' link, and verify that the check box next to ?Anonymous Access? is enabled,
Save the Configuration.
Go to the Console for the Compaq Insight Manager 7 server.
Either reboot the server, OR
Stop all Compaq web-enabled agents on the Compaq Insight Manager 7 that are viewed on the Device Home Page. To validate that all agents are stopped, type in this URL in your browser http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:2301/proxy/statusreport?type=summary and verify nothing is retrieved back. If anything returns, correlate the ISAPI extension to a running Compaq service and stop that service. Restart all the agents that were just stopped.
followed the istructions and we still are not able to get to the device.
