Create a task

Hi! i want to create a task when my device is critical but only for the server! my problem is I create one task for notify me when one device is critical status but his sent me email for printer too I dont want to be notify for printer only server! How i setup the task??

Edit the Task, under the Select System, change System Name to System Type and the point it to Server.
Or you could change the is to is not and select Printer. Never used this but it should report on anything but Printers.

Oops, just replied as per HPSIM. Are you running Insight Manager 7 or the new HPSIM?

If you're running IM 7, it's trickier, I use the APplication Launch feature stuff within a perl script to achieve what you want.

Tasks -> New Notification Task -> insert mail-address/subject -> next -> New Query -> Devices by Status -> Enter a query name -> select Devices by Type and Devices by Status -> under Query Description click on
1. Type and select Server
2. Status Type and select critical

-> save -> enter a taskname -> schedule -> OK -> save
