Delete Old events
Hi,
In the User Guide, it states: "Delete Events is one of the control tasks you can perform in Compaq Insight Manager XE. Use this task to delete events based on a set of criteria. For example, you might create a task called Delete Old Events that deletes all events that are more than six weeks old."
But how do you do this on a regular schedule? When setting up an event query you can enter a specific date e.g. Nov 21 2000, and you can set up a task to run this every week. But every week it just looks for tasks older than that specific date. How do you get the 'more than six weeks old' criteria to work on a rolling basis?
Thanks
Paul

Re: Delete Old events
Unfortunately you can't, but that is something we are adding for the next major version. I agree it seems like an obvious limitation but it wasn't until we shipped the product for 6 months before somebody asked for this (at which point we slapped our heads and went 'duh!')
