detect current nic traffic

Hi,
the nic-agent provides me with information about sent and received packages, O.K.
But this are only summarized values, and what I wanted to know is something that shows me the current load of the nic (perhaps Frame/sec., or something like this).

Does somebody know if there is some agent or additional tool there ?

You might just try to use performance monitor.
If you want to enter data in IM console, you can trigger traps using alerts (in perf mon also). You have a bunch of possible actions in W2K perfmon.
