Device name is incorrect
Hi,
2 of my 5 Servers have the wrong device name. Everything else appears OK such as server type etc. I've pasted some details below from the device info screen. The correct name should be HAL.
Status: Normal
Address: 192.168.20.1
Management Protocols: HTTP, SNMP
Device Name: IS~HAL
SNMP Alias: HAL
DNS Name: IS~HAL
Product: ProLiant ML570
Description: Hardware: x86 Family 6 Model 10 Stepping 1 AT/AT COMPATIBLE - Software: Windows 2000 Version 5.0 (Build 2195 Multiprocessor Free)
Any ideas ?

Re: Device name is incorrect
Ultimately, this is a DNS issue. We have noticed that some DNS servers prepend the IS~ to some names. What type/OS of DNS server are you running?
What does NSLOOKUP 192.168.20.1 give you as a result?
