dodgy name display on insight manager console

after installing 2 identical machines into a data centre, i loaded the compaq management agents onto them using SmartStart 4.80.
Then on the management console on another server i added them into the list of devices which works ok and everything seems fine however one of the machines has the wrong name displayed in the list of devices - it comes out as total garbage. The other machine is fine . i tried removing the dodgy one off the list of devices then uninstalling the agents off the server, reinstalling the agents and then adding it back into the device list - all to no avail. If anyone can help with this it would be very much appreciated.
