Error installing - fails copying psapi.dll

While installing Mangement Agents on a NT4 server, the install errors that it could not copy a file to the c:\winnt\system32\psapi. I can ignore the error and continue the install but the Compaq services will not start after the reboot. I have download the latest Management Agents since and applied. Compaq Management Agents still will not start. Receive a message at startup that at least one service failed to start

Is there already a file by that name in the folder? If so, right click it and check it's properties/permissions. If it's read only - the setup program can not update it.

The file does exist but is not ready only. Maybe another application has it in use? What do you suggest?

If you have any antivrus-software installed, try to disable it during the installation. We had problems with Nor ton Anti Virus. Hope this helps.

Looking into the event log I noticed a SNMP reference. SNMP was not installed on the server. Installed SNMP, reapplied sp6a and the management agents start and work.
