Help with weird issue
I was trying to install the insight agents on a DL 380G2 server running Win2K. When I attempt to install the server agents it tells me that there is no system management driver. So then I try to install the system management driver, and it states that I do not need to install it. What's the deal? Any work arounds? Has anyone seen this before.
Thanks for your help!

Re: Help with weird issue
did you build the server with the smart start cd? if not you may need to download the latest support pack and install it.

Re: Help with weird issue
Just to reinforce what John said.
The Softpaqs are provided as tested bundle of drivers etc.
HP recommend that the entire softpaq is updated otherwise you will run into problems like the above.
7.00A is the latest release and seems stable.

Re: Help with weird issue
Thanks to those that responded. I didn't setup the server, and I don't know who did. I work for a large company and we have sites all over the country the we have to monitor, so anyone could have built it. No, that person(IMO) did not use the SmartStart CD to setup the server. I have figured out my problem....I read that the BIOS needs to be updated. I also verified it by running the SmartStart CD on the server, when the program was done...it had not installed anything...just errors. Read the log and it stated that I need a newer BIOS version in order to install the support packs. I'm sure if I found the version of SmartStart that came with it, I would be fine, but since the server is not physically in the datacenter where I work, that would be impossible.
Thanks!
Thanks!
