HTTPS PAges not available after Agent Upgrade

Hi All,

Two questions, first, do any HP Insight Manager folk read this forum?

Second, I've updated several servers with the latest softpaq (6.10A). On one of the Servers IM will not display any of the pages for the Server e.g. Device Home, SubSystem Status Info, Version Control.
If I connect to http://Server:2301/ the first page is produced but I then get Server not foung when it tries to get the https://Server:2381/ page.
I've rebooted the Server, checked the SNMP Settings etc. but no go.
Using netstat -a on the Server I see several connections to the Server for port 2381 with CLOSED_WAIT.
The next thing I'm about to try is to reinstall all the Agents and Drivers. But, anyone any other ideas.
The Server was okay under 5.40.
Interestingly if I telnet to the Server on port 2381 I get disconnected straight away, this is not the case for other Servers so it looks as though the Web Management Agent is just not accepting the connections to port 2381.

Is there an NT utility that shows what service is doiing the listening, netstat -a doesn't quite provide enough detail.

Hi,

Had the same problem with the pages not being displayed after the 6.10A upgrade. To solve the problem I had to rename the server, excluding the "_" from the name. It would be interesting to find out if this sorts your issue.
Unfortunately not an overall fix for me as I have an estate of over 150 servers :(

One NT utility that allows you to correlate open ports and running executables is Foundstone's fport. I've found it to be invaluable when it comes to security auditing, as well as troubleshooting like this...

Our Server names are just text, so that shouldn't be the issue. I've reinstalled the agents and drivers and I'm rebooting tonight - see how things go.

Have exactly the same issues, After updrading the WebAgents on all the servers with NT4 + SRP(Q299444) Hotfix.
I tried to re-install the SP6a, SRP, WebAgents..., still the same problem.
Let me know if you find a solution or have an idee what we can try.

Patrick,

Check the version of the System Management Driver. On some servers the latest version of this in the softpaq cannot be installed and you need the latest legacy version. I've had problems if the version of this is too old.
The latest legacy version is 3.36.1381.1.
