IE5.5 Doesn't work

I have verified that I am running the latest version of CIM XE on my server. Installed 2.1 just before upgrading my own system with IE5.5. It just will not work with IE5.5 no matter what I do. Reverted back to IE5.0 and all is well.

When you say it doesn't work, what exactly isn't working? Can you log into CIM XE? Does the browser hang completely or just not return any data?

I am also having problems with IE 5.5. Currently I can get into XE fine, but when am running XE, and the Deviced Status section of the page updates, I get a new window everytime showing just the device status. Eventually the Device Status portion of the first page opened, will chagne and say "Compaw Insight Manger XE has stopped responding."

I'm on the phone to tech support about this issue as well as another. If I get anything figured out I will post it here. I have a strange feeling that is is going to be a javascript error.

gpeck your problem is resolved by the 2.1 patch. Download it today from www.compaq.com/manage

I am having the EXACT same problem... I have CIM XE 2.1, am running it on an NT4.0 (sp6) server, and the workstation I launch the CIM XE console from is running Win2k/ws (sp1) and IE5.5(sp1)...

Epruss - what do you mean when you say the EXACT problem? Are you seeing the window popups? If so, that is fixed with the 2.1 patch.

If you are referring to Darren's issues, can you give me more details as to what you are seeing? Can you even log into CIM XE?
