IM7 MSDE install problem

I need to intall Insight Manager 7 2.3 on a box that already has MSDE with an instance for another tool.

IM Setup fails after entering the MSDE information every time.

Any thoughts on how to make IM share an MSDE installation? I've searched the HP site with no success.

First, let me discourage a new installation of IM7. It is now end of life and its replacement, HP Systems Insight Manager, is already available.

To the best of my knowledge, there should be no problem, assuming a compatible version of MSDE (2000SP3a) and the correct MDAC version (2.8 or later). You might check the Microsoft site for guidance on MSDE.
