Is it possible to run a command on an event?

Hi,

Is it possible to run a command on an event? I want to start a Pager program that sends the message. Is it also possible to save the vent tekst to a file?
Is it possible to save events in a directory where other software can scan this dir and send pager messages?

Yes, it's called application launch.
