Java.exe hangs

When logging off of the server, I have to End Task on java.exe twice, then theAwtToolkit needs to be ended. Has anyone else experienced this problem. It doesn't appear to be incrementing the amount of memory, but it's using around 70 MB. The version of Java is 1.3.1.
