Management of IBM hardware in Insight Manager 7 SP2

I am trying to configure IM7 to manage some IBM hardware, specifically Netfinity and xSeries servers. I have installed the IBM Director agent on the server, configured SNMP, and registered the included IBM MIBs in IM7, but am still unable to get any more detailed information other than the general health of the server.

Can anyone please give me some information on what steps need to be taken to manage this hardware in IM7.

I don't think that is possible because anything else but the general info is stored in Compaq private MIB. At least, that will be where CIM searches for it. But for obvious reasons it cannot find it on IBM machines.

I am not looking to perform any specific management tasks, like version control or group configuration, I am just looking for more information about the server in IM7. Right now, I am only able to see the server type, status, and information about the network interfaces. Given that HP touts the product as having the ability to manage third-party devices, it seems like there should be more information available other than this. If this isn't the case, someone please let me know.

After installing the Director Agent it might be possible to register the MIBs found under the UMS directory (I'm going from memory here). You may also find useful a separate MIB for the ServerRAID adapter.

Actually i try to do the same like you and I have no experience with IBM Servers. I installed the Director Agent on a Netfinity 5000. When accessing the Web Page from this Server i have no Register called Director, which should give me information about the Health Status of the System. My Question is this only avaiable on X-Series Server or are there Hardware agent specific drivers that i have to install first, like it is with Compaq Agents (NIC Agent, Disk Agent.....).
