Moving CIM 7 SP to a new server
Hi is there a procedure to be followed for moving CIM 7 SP to a new server. I have the DB on another server so it will only be the APP that is moving.
I don't really want to visit every server and tell it to pint to the new server, also i would have to recreate all the certs.
thanks

Re: Moving CIM 7 SP to a new server
You will need to run both IM7 servers side by side during the move.
As far as your clients, Configure one manually to point to point to the new IM7 server. Then create a control task then use the server point to the new IM7 server as a template. Then select the all servers query.
After you run the query, all servers will now point to the new IM7 server. Let me know if you need help in doing this.

Re: Moving CIM 7 SP to a new server
Hello -
Here is the link to the Insight Manager docs. I would definitely take a look at "Migrating to Insight manager 7 and the Technical reference Guide.
