MSDE for Software Version Status
Hello all,
I try to connect from my version Control Agent of a server to the msde database of I. Manager.
The problem is that for the connections settings, I only have the choice between administrator, user, operator and guest (which are not from my domain).
In the database settings of Insight Manager, I've the Windows database authentication. So, I can not user the adminstrator account or maybe I could try it (because I've seen that the administrator account is used as database admin) but I dont have the password of it. So, did Insight Manager install the msde with a default password ?
Thanks a lot for your help
Arnaud

Re: MSDE for Software Version Status
Arnaud:
The Version Control Agent is calling back to the Version Control Repository Manager [agent], NOT the SQL or MSDE database. For Insight Manager's purposes, the only application that touches SQL/MSDE is IM7 itself.
The VCRM runs using agent security, so that's why you authenticate using the built-in Administrator, Operator or User accounts. Use the account/password combination you would use to access the agents on the server where VCRM lives.
