Hi!
I??m a newbie to INsight Manager 7 SP2, i got most of my servers via Auto Discovery. One of them (Netware Server) is just appearing with its IPX adress, the IP isn??t displayed. I like to edit the device, cause auto discovery didn??t find it IP. When i try to edit the IP, the error states: "IP not in database".
Any thoughts?
Holger

Solution
To delete a device, just select it on the main screen, and press delete, or you can select it then select delete from the Action menu. You can try manually adding your netware server through the "manual discovery" screen using the IP address of the server as well as the server name to see if it will bind the IP address. On the Auto discovery dialog box you have both IP and IPX protocols selected? I'm assuming you have IPX and IP running through the same nic, or is this server multi homed?

Re: Newbie: How can i edit/Delete Devices in Insight Manager 7 SP2
Hi!
Thanks, i didn??t see the DElete option :-) I deleted this server from DB an manually added it with its ip address,. Now, everything is working fine. IPX doesen??t matter anymore, cause i removed it from the nic. We try to get IPX out of the network :-)
Thanks,
Holger
