On-board NIC

I have several Proliant servers that we do not use the onboard network cards with. We add in a 10/100/1000 card. However IM7 shows these onboard cards as having a problem. Since we do not use these, or even plan to, how can I stop IM from even looking at these? I could care less if the onboard card is working or not.

If you disable the NIC in Windows Insight Manager 7 will no longer report them as failed.

You could also put a physical loopback 'pigtail' in each unused NIC port (I believe we still have a SKU to order them in bulk - contact your HP sales team), but the software solution is probably easier.
