Is there a possibility to reset the Board via the command line?

Yes, there is a tool called RIBRECOVER and can be found in SP19719. It will create a bootable diskette and is most usefull if the board is hanging or in diagnostics mode.
Remember that the NT/W2K Server Agents 5.30 can put the RILO board is diagnostics mode. This is a known bug and is solved in Server Agents 5.30.1 or higher (5.40 is also out).

Sorry, did not read the post topic. This tool is only for RIB Lights Out boards and not for the older PCI cards!

depends on your OS, NW has a reset rib from the comand prompt, NT/W2K has the agents applet that lets you reset if you stop the agents. Linux.Unix has none.

These guys are lost...
Use the rib .cpl and an argument calling run32.dll to invoke the reset rib sub action. I use it al the time. If you are not familiar with manually calling the .dll and it's internal arguments, you probably should not even try this as it is going to be WAY over your head...

how you are resetting the rib using the rib.cpl and rundll32?
there are no exported functions in the rib.cpl...
