SNMP Process Notifier
Hi all,
I have the following problem:
I'm trying to detect when a server's process goes down. I configured Compaq Management Agents\Process Monitor and flagged Start&Stop for the processes I wanted to monitor.
Well, I can see the trap being runned in the Windows' Event Manager, but I cannot receive any notification on my CIM7 nor an e-mail.
I create a query and I created 2 tasks - one for Polling Task and one for E-mail Notification.
In my query I used as Event of Type: "Process Monitor Event".
Now I can only see one server. I have several servers and clusters. I tried to kill many processes with the only result that I can see the trap starting but no notification.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
Ezra

Re: SNMP Process Notifier
Is your IM7 server running WS03? It is configured by default to only respond to SNMP packets from 'localhost.'

Re: SNMP Process Notifier
Thanks David. I looked in SNMP Configuration\Trap Configuration and I set the IP for Trap Destination.
I should be a little more careful.
