SNMP Trap Forwarding

Hello there all,

I am wanting to forward SNMP traps to a mediator from CIC (Cisco's rebranded Micromuse Netcool). The event forwarder box allows me to specify the IP address but not a custom TCP port. If you specify xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:yyy it fails.

Is there any way to get around this and forward traps to a port other than the default?

Have you ever found a solution to this problem. We are working on a similar situation. The events that are hitting NetCool are random and fairly useless.
