Version Control Agent Install

Of the 100 or so servers we have, I have one server (an ML530 running W2K3) which won't allow the update of the VCA, from the initially installed version (1.0.2288.0) to 2.0.1.30 (CP003735).
I've gradually updated the version, and have managed to install upto 1.0.3085.0 (CP003277) but it won't go any further.
I've attached the install log for reference.
Does anyone have any explanation for this please?

Re: Version Control Agent Install

If you manually install the 3735 component (that is, outside the PSP which will not call the /silent option) are there any other diagnostics on the screen?

If not, this is something that would be good to open a support case on...

Re: Version Control Agent Install

I've tried running cp003735 locally on the server, both by the install method, and by extracting the files first. In both cases, it states that the component is installed, but not upto date, but when the update is run, a failure message states that the procedure did not complete successfully. It refers to a log file for more information. I'm assuming it refers to the logfile I attached originally.

Re: Version Control Agent Install

Try removing all of the Compaq / HP Agents, I have had this with some of our Servers and it has been down to old versions not being removed by the new install.
