waiting for HTTP server to initialize...

When I launch IM 7 this message repeats itself for about four minutes until it eventually initializes and IM 7 launches. Why does this take so long to start?

Re: waiting for HTTP server to initialize...

The shortcut is checking to see if the IM7 service is available. If this is happening every single time (and not just soon after booting the server) for whatever reason, the response back is not happening in a timely fashion. You could try alternatively launching a browser and pointing it to http://SERVERNAME:280 instead of using the shortcut.

Re: waiting for HTTP server to initialize...

Most of the time when we have seen this, it has to do with proxy settings. The "localhost" request is being sent to the proxy server and it can not resolve it...
