Hey guys,
i noticed that using the HTML5 iLO remote console results in a freeze of the computer where it is usage. While investigating this issue i determine a high CPU usage of 100%. This occurs idependently of browser and iLO versions (iLO 4 and iLO 5 with latest firmware).
Does anyone have the some issue? Maybe already a solution?
Greetings from Germany
Chris
What is the firmware version?
Hello,
the firmware version i use is 2.78 on iLO4 and 2.48 on iLO5.
Greetings
Chris
Hi,
I would suggest to reset iLO to the factory default settings.
Refer below Document :-

If possible downgrade the ilo, if issue persist reset.
Hello,
we have the same problem with ilo5 2.42.
CPU goes up to 100% and the Webbrowser gets unavailable and is slow as hell...

Seen on Windows Server 2012R2 and 2019, but NOT on Windows 10 Pro!

Same here, when I use Chrome to launch the iLO connection. Firefox is fine.
I tracked this down to a recent change in Chromium that changes the default renderer from legacy SwiftShader GL to SwANGLE. A workaround until HPE can provide an update is to use the flag --use-gl=swiftshader-webgl

Hello,
same issue with iLO5 v2.55.
Only Firefox works without issue.
Hi
Can someone confirm that is only on Windows Server and not on Win 10?
Has someone raise a support call. If not, I can do!

Hi Ralph,
I have this issue with Windows Server 2016 and 2019. Not tested with other Windows OS versions yet.
Also no case opened until now.
The workaround from aireynol is working for me. But is it only a workaround, not a solution.

Ok,
I open a support call and gave feedback!

Check out this advisory - https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-a00118787en_us
Although, it states "Chromium-based browser upgrade from v.92.x to v93.x or 94.x.", my browser is already at 95, this did work to resolve the issue, for me.
RESOLUTION
As a workaround, launch the browser with below option as follows:
Thanks for sharing.
Has anyone made this work with the edge browser?
The workaround works for me only with the chrome.
Hi
HPE Support Case 5359980144.
All I get ist the workaround, and that HPE is still working on this problem!
This dont work for me on Edge Version 96.0.1054.34 (Offizielles Build) (64-Bit) (Windows 2012R2)
Also disable HW accelaration in the setting dont work!

The problem is in Chrome. Edge is built on the same Chromium engine. Just use a different browser.
