Hi Team ,
Newbie here, I want to know how do I check from Ilo interface if there any free disk slot in ProLiant XL450 Gen10. at the moment I can see it has already 60 total drives and this appears to its Apollo 4510 external Chasis, and I need to confirm if the internal disk slot is occupied?
TIA.

Re: How to check in iLo if there are any free disk slot available?
Login to ILO>>System Information>>Storage. Here you will get the information under controller like Port 1I Box 1 Bay 1- Here it means Port 1I(I means internal) Box 1(Means the box) and Bay 1(Means the drive in Bay 1). So refer to the Bay numbering of the drive:-
https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00028519en_us
Page 21
Then you will be able to see all the slots populated. If the drive is not showing under controller that means the drive bay is empty.

Re: How to check in iLo if there are any free disk slot available?
Hello Bunsol,
Thank you for your response. In my case, refer to the screenshot below. From our server, ProLiant XL450 Gen10, I can see the two boxes have been filled with 30 drives each, and I wanted to confirm how I can check the two internal drive slots to see if they are filled or not. as it seems not showing in the iLo 5. Appreciate your response.
Best Regards,

SolutionI have checked in one of the lab server and it shows the information under storage tab. Check the firmware for ILO, Controller, drives and if they are not updated then please update them. Also if Agentless management service is not installed then install the same. Simultaneously you can use Smart storage administrator to check which drive bays are populated. If even after updating these does not show the storage details then perform a ILO soft reset from ILO>>Information>>Diagnostic. If still issue persists then raise a support ticket.
