iLO 3 Java Duplicate Keystrokes in Remote Console

I'm using Firefox 3.6.14 and Java 1.6.0_24 on a 32 bit linux system. When using the remote console extremely frequently I get multiple keystrokes sent for each key I press. For example, if I type 'ls -la /' i might actually get 'llllls --laa ////'

The servers are running iLO 3 firmware 1.16.

The problem is so bad, the Java Remote Console is pretty much useless. Is anyone aware of this issue, or have any advice on what to do?

As a alternative you could try the Virtual Serial Port:
