Maximum Character Length for iLO DNS Name Field
Hi,
I will like to find out whether there is any maximum limitation for the field to enter the DNS name for iLO/iLO2?
I tried to enter 20 characters at the Network Settings, however it appear only 12 characters at the Status Summary Page and the RBSU DNS/DHCP page as well (even thought the Advance option allow me to enter 20 characters).
I try using Light-Outs migration utility to verify, it appear as 12 characters as well.
So, if I'm to allow to configure for a name more then 12 character, why is it just able to appear the 1st 12 characters? Which one will be the correct setting?
Thanks!!
regards,
BLeng

Re: Maximum Character Length for iLO DNS Name Field
Sorry, pls ignore this question. I found out a way to do it already.
In RBSU is not possible to enter a iLO DNS name more than 15 characters but this can be corrected by configure it via the webpage, Network Setting section.
Thanks!!

BLeng
