60 Second Login Delay on SIM v5.1 SP1

After inputting credentials, SIM takes about 60 seconds to display the application. It just started about two days ago. I cannot identify any changes that took place on the CMS or anywhere else. The issue occurs both locally (on the CMS console) and remotely, with both IE and Firefox, and with both local and domain accounts.

Has anyone seen this issue before? Any ideas what to check next?

Hello Steven,

Is there a "login.jsp" to the shortcut you are using ?

Try removing it.

Regards,
James.

Nope. Just http://servername:280/ which then redirects to https://servername:5000/.

Steve,

Is this on the Systems Management Homepage for a server or for the SIM server login (CMS)?

If its for the SMH on a particular server, what version of the PSP are you running on it?

The delay occurs when logging in to SIM. The SMH login is fine. The login delay has increased to about five minutes.

This was resolved with a database shrink. Daily data collections had caused the database to grow to 7.5 GB. When shrunk, it reduced to 170 MB (!). We set to daily shrinks to avoid this in the future.
