7.30 update of SIM
If anyone has seen this type of event, please let me know.
Admin. attempts to update server to version 7.30 of VCA utilizing the Reference Support Pack; Proliant Support for Microsoft Windows 2000 Version 730A English (US), Japanese and the Deployment tool from HP. Admin does not have the privilidges to perform the update so the update does not show up in the log as being attempted.
Two weeks later, an Admin with the privlidges to run the support pack logs into Insight manager and accesses the same server but does not run the support pack. No one with privilidges has logged in before this.
It is later found that the support pack was pushed at the time that the admin with the privilidges logged in even through he did not request to run the support pack.
The basic question here is, is there some way that someone without privilidges attempts to run the support pack through the deployment tool and it will not allow them to nor log anything other than that they accessed the server. Later an admin with proper privildges logs into the server and it picks up the support pack request from the previous user who did not have privilidges and runs it then?
