I am interested in monitoring servers on our DMZ with the ability to send messages /traps to our internal OVOW server. Allowing operations to view 1 console for all messages.
I am considering placing an OVOW Server on the DMZ, opening only 1 port to send messages to our Internal OVOW server.
I am looking for solutions/documentation to for best practices, port to open, etc...
Our current environment consists of 1 OVOW Management server with OVIS and Reporter residing on the same box. We currently monitor 96 nodes.
There are 35 servers on our DMZ.
Thanks,
Connie

Re: Adding OVOW Server on our DMZ
Servers in the DMZ
open ports in DMZ for the servers to talk to the SIM server.
SIM forward events to OV.
Tada :)
