Adding Unix proliant servers to Windows HP SIM

Hi,

I have a very large HP SIM environment that monitors Wintel servers (mostly HP proliants). I am being asked to monitor Unix (HP) servers now. Do I need to install additional support files in my CMS and what agents need to be installed on the UNIX servers?

uiet some of the information you're looking for you can find on http://docs.hp.com/en/netsys.html#Remote%20Support%20Pack. (IRSA Managed Systems Configuration).
Additionally you can decide if support incidents shold be sent to HP, when a component starts to fail.

Re: Adding Unix proliant servers to Windows HP SIM

HP-SIM was inherrited from Compaq.
HP unix can mean HP-UX or HP-TRU64-unix.

Tru64 is also inherrited from Digital -> to Compaq -> to HP.
For Tru64 you can use the insight management agents
https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/try.do?productNumber=T64_CPQIM360-370

For HP-UX you won't find HP-SIM agents.
