administrator password removal

New to this product. Have some existing servers with agents installed. Don't know what the administrator password is but can log in as operator. Need to reset the administrator password...or delete password altogether.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Also would like to upgrade all servers with the latest version support pack. Do I have to uninstall the older compaq versions first ?

Copy the c:\compaq\wbemcpqhmmd.acl file from a Server where you know the password to one where you don't and restart the agents.
You don't need to update the agents just for this.
HP generally recommends deploying the entire Softpaq, this way all agents, drivers etc. are in a complete tested bundle and all dependencies are sorted out.

Also, password details and other information can be configured into the agents before they're deployed.

That worked just fine.

You forgot to place a slash in source file location.
You wrote to copy
c:\compaq\wbemcpqhmmd.acl to the target server.

Should have been
c:\compaq\wbem\cpqhmmd.acl.

I figured it out and it worked just like you said it would. Thanks again.
