I have inherited a system from another office, I do not have the administrator password for the wbem interface how can I change the password without logging into the web interface?

Could you give a clearer indication of what you're trying to log into.
HPSIM uses the password authentication from the AD or similar but with the added constraint that User accounts are added.
By default the installation account is created so you should be able to log on to that.
The Agents have a configured password and there are a number of ways of resetting those.

Solution
There are three ways of resetting the password for the WBEM interface:
- Rerun the Proliant Support Pack. It allows you to specify passwords under "Configurable Components". The Proliant Support Pack will remember the password, so you can reinstall the Management Agents onto several boxes without retyping in the passwords.
- Run rerun the hp Management Agents component. Newer versions will ask for a new password.
- Copy the C:\COMPAQ\WBEM\CPQHMMD.ACL file from a "working" server to the affected server. Then restart the Web Agent.
