alert/trap text: can you change or add variables?
For example:
The process monitor trap comes through as:
"A monitored process has either started or stopped running."
Fins as you can click on the alert to find which process. However, when paged for example, it just says the above and you have no idea what it is referencing.
So is there a way to change this or is it easier or more benficial to try and compile a MIB specifically for the process I want to watch?
Thanks,
Sean

Re: alert/trap text: can you change or add variables?
Sean,
Not sure, but you could test using a Custom Command. The variables passed through are quite extensive.
There's a section in the User Guide that covers custom commands and the variables used.

Re: alert/trap text: can you change or add variables?
Thanks. I will give that a look over now and see if I can test anything.
