Alerts are sitting at a pending state
I can't seem to figure out why all alerts from this weekend are in a pending state.
Some segments of the network were taken offline for maintenance. I got the alerts that the segments went offline. But when the segments (and servers) came back, I was never notified.
The alerts continue to be generated but they just sit at a pending state. I have tried changing mail settings and have evan telnetted to mail server to confirm it is not a relay issue.
The software monitors 200 server across the country and now I have about 60 alerts listed as pending.
Manually stopping the tasks have proven to be a very slow process and has not helped at all.
Any input would be greatly appreciated...

Re: Alerts are sitting at a pending state
Under the details of each individual task..
Also under LOGS > VIEW TASK RESULTS
A server rebott has changed the pending state to "some Failures". Functionality seems to be coming back but i have about 10 - 15 min delay on SNMP alerts showing up in Insight Mgr.

Re: Alerts are sitting at a pending state
I'm not sure how HPSIM runs these things, seems as though the scheduling process got halted or overwhelmed and couldn't deal with the sudden influx.
