Application Montioring with HP SIM
Wanted to know whether the HP Systems Insight manager can be used to monitor application faults, crash, process down in addition to hardware faults like disk failures/ disk full events?
Also can this be integrated with the NetIQ Appmanager, so that we donot have deploy the NetIQ Appmanager agent on the server. NetIQ Appmanager can manage only monitor the application and do not monitor the hardware faults?

Re: Application Montioring with HP SIM
The best the HPSIM Agents can do is monitor services stopping / starting.
That's configured in the HP Management Agents GUI.
I don't know how NetIQ Appmanager works, But if you want to monitor applications crashing you'd need some kind of agent installed. Possibly the NetIQ Appmanager agent could send SNMP Traps back to yourHPSIM Server when it detected problems
