ASR Question - What Can Cause the Health Service Agent from updating BIOS?

One of our systems has had a few ASR's but no events in the IML log indicating why. From other posts I gather that this is happening because the Health Service Agent is reaching the timeout period when it cannot write to the BIOS, thus restarting the system. However, since there was no kernel dump, suspect events in the Windows logs, or otherwise, we have no idea what is actually causing this? Any ideas what could prevent the Health Service Agent from writing to the BIOS?
