Associating servers with management cards (SIM 5.0)
Is there a way to force a server and lights-out board to be associated?
I have several servers that won't associate with their lights-out boards. The servers are mostly DL380 G2s (some are G1s), with RILOE I boards.
I have tried several Identification, Discovery, Status Polling, and Data Collection runs, but they just don't appear associated in SIM.
Any ideas, or anything else I can do?
Ben.

Re: Associating servers with management cards (SIM 5.0)
The PSP v7.40 is installed on all servers (I had the same problem with v7.30).
Where will I find the "level of data returned" setting? I looked through the settings pages for the RILOE board (firmware v2.53), and the Insight Management Homepage, and couldn't find it.
As far as I can see there are no settings different between machines and RILOE cards that are discovered correctly, and ones that aren't.
Thanks,
Ben.

Re: Associating servers with management cards (SIM 5.0)
That page does not exist on a RILOE board, even with the latest firmware (v2.53, 128-bit). It exists on an iLO board with firmware 1.82, but that option is not there.
There is nothing even similar on the RILOE board, but the iLO board has an option for "Data Return", with the options "Enable" and "Disable.
Regards,
Ben.

Re: Associating servers with management cards (SIM 5.0)
All my RILOE boards are correctly associated, but a few of my ILO boards are not - and, as in your case, all the settings look the same to me between associated and non-associated boards.
