Automated Event Handling stopped working - status "Pending"
Hello,
On Monday I patched my SIM server with that latest MS security patches (about 4 or so). Alerting was working after I patched, but around 6:00 PM that night they stopped working.
Now, if I look in the task status window, I see a WHOLE bunch of tasks with a state of "Pending". I did patch the server, but they did not break until several hours later, so I am not 100% sure it was the patching that broke them.
Anyway, anyone have any ideas how to get task that are in a "Pending" state to work? I am rebooting right now, and will post back if that fixes the problem.
Thanks
Nelson

Re: Automated Event Handling stopped working - status "Pending"
After rebooting, all of the tasks that were "pending" now say "Some Failures". Both there is no additional information.
Is there a log somewhere that will tell me exactly why these Automated Event Handling tasks were pending and now failed?
Thanks
Nelson

Re: Automated Event Handling stopped working - status "Pending"
I've seen similar behaviour before but it was a few HPSIM versions ago. The "fix" was to restart the HPSIM service. Often the jobs would be in a running state with 0% complete rather than pending.
