Automatic Event Handling
I have created 4 new tasks within HP SIM 4 and the Last Run column shows that 3 of the tasks never ran. The 4th task, which should poll every 2 minutes, isn't working correctly either. My question is are these tasks dependent on another task or event? I must say HP SIM 4 is not very friendly nor is the Help not much Help. Thanks

Re: Automatic Event Handling
The Event handling tasks are triggered by Events, so if the event has not happened then the task will not run.
There are some problems when creating tasks with AND and OR statements I think.
You might just want to base an initial task on Uncleared Critical Events and see what happens.
If you need a task that runs at a scheduled interval you need to look at the status polling tasks.
So, no tasks are not dependent on another task.
